# Reports of Google Enforcing the Display URL policy

Search Engine Roundtable [reports](http://www.seroundtable.com/archives/017038.html) that some Adwords advertisers have begun to see Google enforcing their [new display url policy](https://blog.brandverity.com/7/google-landing-page-url-enforcement-coming/). The report is based on a [WebmasterWorld thread](http://www.webmasterworld.com/google_adwords/3640401.htm) in which two advertisers report enforcement.

While this is encouraging, we haven't seen this in any of the campaigns that we monitor. Google rarely makes sweeping changes, so perhaps this is the beginning of the cleanup.
